Sofiero's story begins in 1864 when Prince Oscar and his wife Sophia of Nassau visit Helsingborg, the pearl of the strait. The young couple fall in love with the beautiful view, the wooded gorges and the proximity to Denmark. They buy Skabelycke a little north of Helsingborg to build their summer castle Sophie-Ro there. In the summer of 1866, the couple was able to move into the summer castle of their dreams, which then had a different appearance than today. Among other things, the castle had only one floor. When Oscar became king, Oscar II, ten years later, the castle underwent extensive renovation and took on the appearance it has today. Oscar and Sophia spent many beautiful summers at Sofiero. In 1905, they gave away their beloved Sofiero as a wedding present to their grandson Gustaf Adolf when he married his Margareta from England. On a sunny July day just over a month after the wedding, Gustav Adolf and Margareta arrive at Sofiero by horse and carriage through an entrance decorated with oak leaves and crowned with a royal crown. The Swedish and English flags waved among the citizens of Helsinki who welcomed the castle's new owners.

Krapperup is an estate on Scania's west coast, located three miles north of Helsingborg and just south of Kullaberg and Mölle. The current castle was built in the middle of the 16th century and is surrounded by a beautiful park that is open to the public all year round. Since 1967, Krapperup has been run by a foundation whose task is to support science and research. In the stable area there is both a well-visited art gallery and Krapperup's Kaffestuga. In addition, concerts and theater productions are organized in our unique premises. Well worth a visit!

In Höganäs Keramik's old factory, at Höganäs Design Outlet, is the center for ceramics in northwestern Scania. On an area of more than 900 square meters, there are fresh exhibition halls, a gallery, sales and not least a brand new ceramic workshop. The workshop offers visitors big and small many experiences. The center is run by the Stiftelsen Höganäs ceramic center, which has the task of promoting and preserving the ceramic tradition found in Sweden. We have created a gathering place, a national destination and a knowledge center for ceramics in all its forms. Keramikst center stands with its roots in the nearly two-hundred-year-old Keramikbygden, but looks above all to the future. Our premises form a framework for art and crafts of the best brand, signed by around fifty current local ceramicists. We show exclusive ceramic art as well as beautiful and practical utility ceramics. Everything is locally produced. Based on the presentation, visitors can go on their own pottery tour and visit open workshops in northwestern Scania. Or shop directly with us. During the spring of 2022, the Ceramic Center's operations were merged with Höganäs Museum and Art Hall, with a joint board.

Höganäs Museum and Art Gallery's basic idea is educational public education. Acquiring knowledge is not the same as studying dry facts. But discovering and experiencing something that enriches the imagination creates empathy and understanding for both the past and the present. The museum's activities thus become part of liberal society's democracy, education and individual freedom. Höganäs Museum was started in 1924 by the Factory and Handicrafts Association, which set aside 100 kroner for the new business. The initiator was Albin Hamberg, who also became the museum board's first chairman.​​ In 1997, the activities were transferred to a newly formed foundation. The premises are owned by Höganäs municipality, which also supports the foundation financially. Today, Höganäs Museum and Art Gallery conducts an impressive business.
